Paulo de Souza

Paulo de Souza is an associate at Sustainable Value Creation and a doctoral researcher at the University of Oxford (UK).

Paulo brings senior multi-national management experience from his prior roles as senior advisor to the vice presidency at Raízen (a Brazilian joint­venture between Shell and Cosan), sustainable development director for Latin America at the BioAlcohol Fuel Foundation (Sweden), and senior advisor at The Natural Step (Brasil). Paulo worked on sustainable biofuel production projects in Africa, and negotiated pioneering sustainability criteria for the ethanol value chain between Brazil and Sweden.

Paulo also brings a decade of experience as an associate professor at one of the leading business schools in Latin America, Getúlio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo.  He is a civil engineer by the Mauá Engineering School, a specialist in business administration by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo, and holds a master in strategic sustainable development by the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden.
