Josephine Matthews is the founder of Sustainable Value Creation Limited. Josephine brings senior experience establishing C-suite led collaborative partnerships across business, government, investors and society, as well as leading diverse management teams to deliver investor-ready projects contributing directly to the low carbon energy transition.
As a senior executive with over 15 years international experience in investment, business development, management roles across asset management, FMCG, retail, telecoms, insurance, banking and energy sectors, Josephine also brings professional coaching, facilitation and collaboration experience and is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Josephine is a Fellow of the Donella Meadows Sustainability Institute, a project of the Academy for Systems Change, USA, and the Sustainability Leaders Network, a Buckminster Fuller Institute funded project. She also holds a Masters in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability (MSLS) from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden, an MBA from London Business School, UK and a Bachelors in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of South Africa (UNISA). Josephine has co-authored two teaching case studies on the field of corporate strategy and sustainabillity, both published in Mainstreaming Corporate Responsibility, Smith and Lensson, 2009 and has published her working paper on Sustainable Value Creation – Life at the Heart of Purpose, on the Management Innovation Exchange, 2012.
